In early November
2005, the Independent Film and Television Alliance, whose membership
includes Troma President Lloyd Kaufman (who serves as the IFTA's Vice
Chairman, not to be mistaken with Chairman of Vice, which is another
story for another day), held its annual market at the beautiful Loews
Santa Monica hotel.
This was a special year due to it marking the second annual TromaDance/Kodak Independent Spirit Award acknowledged to the most break-out independent filmmaker of the year. The recipient was Jenna Fischer, for her directorial debut of LOLLILOVE. The guest of honor to present her the award was Fred "the Hammer" Williamson.
