TROMA’S FIRST PC- CD ROM VIDEO
GAME COMPLETE!
“THE
TROMA PROJECT” RELEASED IN R-RATED and UNCUT VERSIONS!
Cannes- May 16th 2002-
In a press conference today at Cannes, Achim Heidelauf of Germany’s
Zuxxez Entertainment AG, one of the leading independent computer
game developers, announced that work has FINALLY been completed
on The Troma Project, a new fully interactive strategy
game for the PC CD-ROM. Keeping in grand Troma tradition, the
game did not make it past foreign censor boards unscathed. Because
of this, after three years of work, The Troma Project is
now available internationally through Zuxxez in a censored R-Rated
Version. The Uncensored Programmer’s cut of the game is expected
to hit US stores and the Troma Studio Store at www.troma.com
by Fall 2002.
Three years in the making, The
Troma Project, features some of Troma’s most famous characters,
such as The Toxic Avenger, Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D.
and Super-Tromette Bulemia, in a high-stakes battle against
an international conspiracy of labor, bureaucracy and corporate
elites out to destroy the future of truly independent art and
cinema. Players will fight through a thrilling story line with
seven tromatic chapters, while uncovering loads of bonus features,
gadgets and “Easter eggs” – all in the name of freedom of expression.
Lloyd Kaufman, president
of Troma Entertainment and creator of the Toxic Avenger, lends
his famous voice to the game’s narration. “Our fans have been
begging for a Troma video game for years,” Kaufman says. “And
while we’ve wanted to do one for some time, Troma is a movie studio,
not a software company. We needed to find a visionary game designer
like Achim Heidelauf to bring this great idea to life. Now that
the results are in, we’re sure The Troma Project will satisfy
both longtime Tromites and gamers alike.”
