TROMA AND BIO-DIESEL FORM ALLIANCE AT CANNES FILM FESTIVAL

THE TOXC AVENGER ENDORSES ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
(AND EDIBLE) FUEL SOURCE WITH ENERGREEN

Cannes, May 17, 2002- Today at Cannes, Enegreen-Biodiesel announced an alliance with Troma Entertainment to promote the use of Bio-Diesel, a approved Diesel fuel source that is less toxic than table salt, as biodegradable as sugar, and smells like French fries when used! Made from any vegetable oil and able to run in any diesel engine, Bio-Diesel is easy enough to produce that you can make it from used deep fryer oil in your own kitchen! And it’s edible!

Troma and Energreen will begin a campaign for Bio-Diesel on the Vans 2002 Warped Tour across North America. The Toxic Avenger will be on hand to educate tour-goers about Bio-Diesel, and Bio-Diesel will be used to power Troma’s Tour Bus and generator for the “Tromaville” section of the Warped Tour. Bio-Diesel will also be used to fuel the entire tour on select dates.

For years, Troma has supported environmental action and taken steps to raise awareness with films such as Class of Nuke ‘Em High, environmental events like the ECO/Troma/Kodak Recycling Program at Cannes for the last two years, and the environmentally minded, hit cartoon series The Toxic Crusaders.  Now, Troma has recognized the unlimited potential of Bio-Diesel and, with the help of EnerGreen-Biodiesel and The Toxic Avenger, they’re spreading the word: Bio-Diesel will revolutionize the way you drive your car!

European countries such as France and England have been exposed to Bio-Diesel for years; however, it is virtually unheard of in America.  This is due to the automobile industry and the U.S. government, (who are in reality only goofy sidekicks to the real villain, the global petroleum industry). For example, Volkswagen has approved all of their engines for use with Bio-Diesel in Europe, but will not do so in the United States because of pressures from the government and fear of attempting to take a step forward in the face of the status quo.

Troma has always made movies of the future, now are supporting fuel of the future!  EnerGreen and Troma are dedicated to seeing the world know that they are capable of using a safer, cleaner, renewable diesel fuel for the same price of petroleum fuel (which is not renewable and produces toxic exhaust).  Join Toxie in mopping up the Environment with EnerGreen-Biodiesel!

EnerGreen-Biodiesel is further dedicated to the promotion and support of the existing producers and distributors of Bio-Diesel in the United States, as they expand Bio-Diesel’s availability across the country to meet burgeoning demand, even as EnerGreen moves toward completion of its own production facility in 2003.
