TROMA’S FIRST DOGPILE 95 FILM

B-MOVIE QUEEN PRESENTS TROMA’S TALES FROM THE CRAPPER

Cannes, May 19th- Today at Cannes, Lloyd Kaufman, president of Troma Entertainment and founder of the Dogpile 95 doctrine announced that principal photography has been completed on Tales From The Crapper, the first ever film created under the Dogpile 95 doctrine. International superstar Julie Strain (Heavy Metal 2000, The Rowdy Girls) stars in the film.  Tales From The Crapper is also a milestone in that it will mark Troma’s first venture into the world of feature video productions.

Kaufman, who is also co-executive producer of the projects, was effusive in his praise of Strain.  “Julie is one of the finest actors Troma has worked with.  In addition to the movies she’s starred in for Troma, she and her husband, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles creator Kevin Eastman, contributed a cameo to Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger Part IV, which has opened in NY and LA to rave reviews and sold out audiences. Thanks in part to Julie and Kevin’s performance in the film, Citizen Toxie has or will open in all major US markets within the next 3 months.  Julie is without question a super-goddess and these projects will more than demonstrate those qualities we love about her.”

Tales From The Crapper is in the same vein as films like Creepshow and Hellblock 13, in that there are two separate stories told by the Crapkeeper (Played by Lloyd Kaufman). Free Ride tells the story of a young man desperate to raise money for college who unwittingly enters into a Faustian bargain with a trio of vampire hookers led by Strain.  Soul Stripper stars Julie as a renegade undercover cop investigating a series of otherworldly murders, including her husband’s, in a strip club.  Soul Stripper also features the Tro-Mantis, a Troma character featured on E! Entertainment Television’s “Wild On…” series.  Troma’s Tales From The Crapper features Julie’s protégés, Arban Ornelas and Masumi Max. Julie herself discovered these beautiful model/actresses, and Troma’s Tales From The Crapper marks their first feature project.
