TromaDance Film Festival
Returns To Cannes
International Film
Festival Celebrates Independent Art Around The World today at
4:00pm in the Tro-Media Office
Monday, May 20th- Today in Cannes,
the TromaDance Film Festival returns to the French Riveria with
a special “Best Of TromaDance” screening series in the Tro-media
Office at 4:00pm (Le Palais Rouaze- 16 Rue Rouaze- # 4007).
What started as an annual event founded by Lloyd Kaufman in
Park City, Utah in January of 2000 has since gone international,
with screening series taking place at film festivals, screening
venues and clubs across the globe. Due to this TromaDance
has received many thousands of fine selections from around the
world, including the UK, Canada, France,
Switzerland, Japan, Sweden, Spain
and Germany to name a few.
Some of today’s Best Of TromaDance selections include
Crayfish, More Like Gay Fish (The Passera Bros.),
The Psychotic Odyssey Of Richard Chase (Carey Burtt),
Zitlover (Cyrus Helf), H.R. Pukenshette (Steve
Herold), Capt Bill and The Rockin Buccaneers (Zafer Ulkucu),
The Tunnel (Ramzi Abed), along with a special preview
trailer of the new Thriller Carmilla from Dark
Star Productions.
Unlike every other
film festival, TromaDance does not charge filmmakers to submit
their films. Entrance to all screenings is free and open to the
public. Besides screenings of independent film selections of all
genres and formats, TromaDance also showcases live music, performance
art and other mediums of artistic expression. Hailed as one of
the most truly independent film festivals, TromaDance features
a range of official selections made independently, usually without
big stars or big money and far removed from the Hollywood studio
system.
TromaDance is always looking for official selections,
which truly exemplify independence. You can submit your independent
art for consideration by filling out the entry blank (Found on
www.tromadance.com
and in The Best Of TromaDance DVD Vol. 1) and submitting it to:
