| Cannes 2002 Report: 'Ben' is in the midst of the
bedlam in France and when he's not busy staring at the topless
ladies or glamorous celebs, he's jotting down this report:
"Dougray Scott has gone in as a partner in the UK production
company, Hero Films. Their first feature will be a black comedy
entitled "The Bum's Rush", based in the Scottish
Highlands. Making his directorial debut is Stewart Svaasand.
Rosanna Arquette was in Cannes promoting her documentary,
titled "Searching for Debra Winger". It features
appearances from sister, Patricia and Sharon Stone and discusses
the issue of women over 40 in Hollywood and why they're not
picking up the roles they deserve. Meanwhile schlock movie
makers, Troma, caused a scene outside the Cartlon Hotel, staging
a fight between The Toxic Avenger and some other mutant looking
creature. Onlookers were Sgt. Kabookie Man and Dolphin Head.
Police presence were heavy as 'Toxie' bashed the hell out
of his opponent with a rubber staff. Meanwhile, some 'Tromettes'
were wrestling on the ground, spitting blood over the scorching
hot sidewalks of Cannes famous Croisette". |
