Troma invades Cannes Film Festival 2006
Gyno volunteering for Troma at Cannes Volunteer

We're all set now for volunteers, Tromites! Please keep this information in mind for Troma's 2007 trip to the Cannes Film Festival! View our screening schedule to meet up with us in France!

It is now time to volunteer for this year’s Cannes Film Festiva!

Though most of the Troma Team has been selected, there are still a few positions available. Space is extremely limited and we already have many requests in, so don’t wait until the last minute to apply! Applying cannot guarantee availability. Lisa Borhoum, Troma's Director of International Sales, is receiving many requests, and she would like to encourage you that if you don't hear from her immediately, do not worry! She is available to answer serious inquiries anytime directly by phone at 1-(212) 757-4555 x25.

This is Troma's biggest market event of the year, and only the most dedicated Tromaniacs will be accepted.

A few items and points about joining the
Troma Team at Cannes:

As long as you are staying with Troma, you must abide by our rules. We will be living together for approximately two weeks, so please respect everyone equally and clean up after yourself in the apartments.

There will be daily meetings and briefings at which EVERYONE is expected to attend. There will be one meeting each morning, which will let everyone know what is going on that day.

Please bring picket sign materials (markers, posterboard, sticks, tape, staple guns) and special FX materials (blood, costumes). We need to have a very carnival-esque atmosphere, so please bring any props (relevant to Troma) that you can.

Please bring any towels, soap and living supplies you will need during your stay in Cannes, and enough money to survive. The only thing the Troma Team will be providing is a place for you to rest your head.

Please contact Lisa Borhoum if you are interested in volunteering. In your email, please explain why you are interested in this opportunity and why you would be an excellent team member.

We will be filming additional footage for our Cannes Documentary to be used on an upcoming DVD. Everyone who is joining the Troma Team at Cannes is subject to filming, and will be asked to sign a release when they arrive. Also, everyone is responsible for his or her own actions. Should you get hurt or arrested, Troma is not liable, and this will be All the Loves You Cannesincluded in the release that you sign when you arrive.

Also, please bring some formal wear as well as casual, the dressier the better. Dress to impress. Guys, bring at least one white shirt and tie, preferably black, Gals, wear something sexy!

Things to keep in mind when joining the Troma Team in Cannes:

You will all have responsibilities to work with the Troma Team while in Cannes. We need to work together to have a fully functioning office and promotional team at all times. It will be a lot of work. There are many parties and other events that happen, and we will have a lot of fun.

But you must keep in mind that work will always come before fun. If there is work and fun happening simultaneously, the work has to be done before the fun. When all our work is done, then we can have the fun. Not to say that fun is not to be had while working. You should always have the mindset that we are promoting and representing Troma, no matter what you may be doing or where you may be.

1.)  Troma will not be able to provide food or money for any living or travel expenses.
2.)  You must bring your own sleeping bag.
3.)  When going to and from the living spaces, everyone must remain completely silent. We do not want to get evicted. Also, please keep all noise level in our apartments to a minimum.
4.)  All people who stay at the Troma condo will be expected to work with the Troma Team for their entire stay at the condo. This includes participation in all Troma events and parades, and getting up very early each morning.
5.)  Do not mess with the French police or security guards at parties or other events. They carry MACE and are not afraid to use it.
6.)  No recreational drugs AT ALL. Do not bring any drugs into the Troma Condo. Also, please refrain from getting drunk. If you must do so, you have to wait until all our work is done.
Thank You!
